I have Tried Everything :( Please Help!

I guess that explains the funny compression numbers.

Anyway you can get a picture posted? How do the intake valves look?

I would get them repaired by a shop. The junk ones will probably be half as good as a repaired one.

Thanks Ranger44 I just checked Autozone and they sell them assembled for 259.00 minus 50.00 core charge so for 209 each I can get new ones. Not a bad price in my book. The machine shop would have alot of work in getting these back to factory specs plus all the labor I will probably save money by buying new on this one.
Thanks
Dave

I don't know what you'd have to do to post attachments (become a paying member or something)... But you can get a free photobucket account and upload your pics there. Then post the link back here. Also a good way to back up your pics online. And you can password protect everything.

Also, I would want to know what caused the exhaust valves to pull though. Usually its the intakes from a leaking or missing airfilter letting dirt in and wearing the valves.

ford had an issue with the 3.0 L engine with valve seat recession in rangers only. don't remember what years like 98-02? maybe? there was a tsb for a while

An issue? What does that mean? They used aluminum for the seats or something? How could there be an issue with over 100 years of R&D?!?!?

I don't understand how there can be SO many issues with these trucks! I could understand maybe 1 or 2 on the very first model years, but the whole truck is an issue it seems and it only gets worse as the model years increase.

I need to find these TSBs... I wonder what's going to fall to pieces next....

well i have don;e about 4 of teh 12 sets in my shop. they are junk i guess. never had a taurus do it. all of them rangers late 90s to early 2000s. just rechecked for the tsb, no longer there i'll see if i can find it later
