My Truck has a hesitation / stumble in it. I seem to have noticed that when I disconnect the neg bat terminal and reboot the pcm the truck runs better right off the bat. as I use the truck and the pcm gets reprogrammed the hesitation seems to come back. This has me thinking that some sensor is bad and maybe the pcm overrides it at first. Any thoughts? Does anyone know how these pcm's work. is there a website that explains exactly what the default settings are etc. thanks in advance

seems like something is sending the PCM a bad signal. MAF or CTS probably. from some of your posts it seems like you have a good grasp on most things, if i were you i'd get the handy mutlimeter out and start checking sensors. good luck.

I tested some of the sensors. I cleaned the iacv today and check resistance it was 0.0. I check the coil packs with a MM they seemed fine. I was thinking of the cts I have not checked that . I was hoping to find out if some of these sensors were at a default setting when it is booting up then maybe it was that sensor..thanks for your input

try cleaning your MAF, they get dirty over time and make the engine run bad (my explorer ran lean enough to ping, some experience rich running)

either that or the oxygen sensor is screwy... those are the two main sensors that the engine learns with
