I have what I thought was a c4 and 289 combo as most of you who know me know I'm putting the 289 into my 83 ranger. Well I waited for my c4 DVD and I came yesterday and I noticed it was not at all like my tranny. I tore into it and tore it completely down and come to find out it is a c3.

I looks like it had just been redone. Everything is new and has the part rebuild dots on it.

The bands are brand new and there is no wear visible anywhere. This thing is nice, but I want a c4. So I am offering a swap of my C3 for a C4 even. I am going to rebuild the c4 anyway and have to put my output shaft in it. So if you are interested just send me a pm.
And yes , I have the torque converter that goes with it.
