I have a friend with a problem...

Pedal fade typically means a leak...

Get rolling in reverse and stab the brake pedal several times.

If the automatic adjusters are working properly... that will automatically adjust any slop in your adjustment and bring the pedal up.
I will give it a try tomorrow

Update.. the breaks work great when they have pressure built up… Now on to that problem with the break fade.

I believe I may have found the problem. Was listening to the truck and heard a hissing noise say this.

After looking is up I believe it’s the vapor canister purge valve. I can see the one line is sucking making me think it’s some kind of vacuum line? And does the other end go into the transfer case??

It would entertain the fuel tank/charcoal canister. Nothing with the tcase

Hey Sean, you are correct. It's part of the emissions system. It does not go to the transfer case. One end goes into the charcoal canister and the other to the manifold I think to burn off stuff. I do not believe it would affect the brakes, but it could cause minor running issues.

I replaced mine a couple months back with a Dorman from RA. I'm all good now.
EDIT: Piping too!;)
