Did a bit of research and apparently stainless is a horrible conductor of electricity... will probably just replace them with standard bolts... last ones have been there since '86 so probably fine
. I'm sure the stainless would be good enough but hey, it's super easy now and hard later...
So far tonight I pulled the boat shift lever so I could tap it since someone broke the threads off, I bought a fancy anodized knob. Was a pain in the rear, turns out the shifter rod is 1/2" stainless which did NOT want to be threaded... Then I changed the fuel filter, I think the old one was rusting out... Still so many things to do...
