Hey all. New here to the Ranger Station. I hate rain. It's keeping me from getting any work done on the 84 Bronco II XLT w/auto trans I just bought Friday. $400us, it runs, has a little body rust, needs some carb work (runs rich, pings under heavy load, and won't idle down), a couple electrical issues in the cab (no cab lights or dash lights, temp gauge quit and gas gauge doesn't work, radio has no power or just doesn't work, but the cig lighter works!
) Tranny fluid needs changing as it's burned pretty good, and a whole lot of cracked wire insulation in the under hood harness. One of the EGR tubes is disconnected and plugged for some reason, and it needs a muffler.
Besides all that, it seems to run pretty good, tranny feels good despite the bad fluid, and the 4 wheel drive works. So I think I have a decent project ahead of me. Once I get it inspection ready and the bugs worked out, I think it'll be a pretty decent truck for me. Gonna HAVE to get it off road when I get it fixed up. No doubt about it.
