i had my truck parked at school and some a**hole side swiped my and pretty much ruined my passanger door. seriously like my door is like screwed. i took it to a friend of my uncles who ownes a body shop and he said its gonna cost me 500 to get fixed. my handle and lock assemble was smashed in and my mirror is toasted. this sucks so now i have to find a way to get 500 dollars. ill get some pics of it tommorrow.

I would see if the school has cameras in that direction. and then I would start looking for cars that have your paint on them.

same, being in a school parking lot, it is likely that whomever hit you, frequents the area.
Maybe is even a student.

If you noticed where people usually park, look for that vehicle that is suddenly parking on the far side of the lot.

Report it in to the school and the police. And start looking for any paint scrapings off your truck. Maybe they left the color of their vehicle on your door. And look for any recent damaged vehicles with paint scrappings of your truck.

Ugh. I HATE parking at school.
I see people side swipe cars all the time...then they take off and park someplace else.
We have a couple crappy cameras, but nothing great.

once in high school someone threatened to key my truck and i just laughed at em.
while it would be annoying purely on principles I doubt that I would notice it with all the scrapes from trees, bushes and a darned steel pole on one side.

Oh yeah. For some people, the truck bed is another garbage can. I've pulled out trash from my bed in disgust all the time.

yeah dude, look for cameras and people with a screwed car. ask if anyone reported anything. I hate this kind of thing. Parking at high schools sucks. one week, i had three people open doors and one person key my ranger right after i got finished buffing+waxing it. I almost started setting up my own cameras. was there any color on your truck from the other vehicle?

my school doesnt have a parking lot it park on the street or dont drive. the cameras that they do have dont reach where i was parked anyway. if faculty parking and thats it. i hate my school they said they cant do anything about it. the cops are going to go door to door and see if anyone saw amything. and i only had liability

You think that's bad? I had some fat old guy rear end me about 4 years ago. He backed up and just drove right around me in the middle of traffic. I saw him just look at me and then take off but I got a good view of his plate number. I gave it to the police and they took a look at the damage to my van (cracked bumper) and said they would get back to me. Two weeks go by and I don't hear a thing from them so after several attempts I finally get ahold of the officer in charge of the investigation and he tells me that my description of the guy's vehicle wasn't accurate enough and that I should just drop it. My guess is that the guy was friends with a cop or maybe even the mayor and they covered it up for him.

Some dickbag hit my sploder in a parking lot a week ago, broke the tail light, small dent and about a foot long scratch
