well i was doing my front brakes(everything geting replaced) and i realised that one side brake line is almost new and the other is shot(from the coil bucket to the caliper

my dad goes no problem, ill call napa and get a new one
to which i respond , uhhhhh but the truck is lifted

long story short
would i have to call skyjacker for them or can i go th napa, or one of the local speed shops,

and id rather not have to get anything shipped cuz im not exactly rollin in money(i have a dollar in my pocket and a handfull of change on my dresser)
thanx and sorry for the length

I would have someone in your town make one for you. Im sure there is some sort of hydrolic shop around that could do it.

Man good luck with napa or any other parts stores. Usually just stock replacement stuff. But they can get some performance stuff. At oreillys we get stuff from aerospeed and its mostly after market stuff. Probably take a while to get it if they can though.

Take your old line down to Napa and see if they can match it up to a line from another vehicle. Alot of times the parts in aftermarket "kits" are just oem parts from other vehicles. My local Car Quest will let me roam their parts area trying to find the parts I need, and I'm not even a big customer.

Exactly, take it down. Look in the tech articles about the F250 brake line upgrade, that may help you. I'm lucky enough my best friend runs the day shift at a local parts store and I'm in well with a few guys at advanced and autozone. I'm allowed to roam the shelf at any of those locations. There is something that will work. You think you're broke now wait til you get a wife and a kid...they take it all no matter how much you make.

They will not be DOT approved, but will most likely conform to or exceed DOT specs for brake lines.

yeah being broke sucks.

the following is from http://www.jeepgod.net/ click on mods ---> d44 6lug to 5 lug conversion.

In the future I will be using some extremely extended rubber lines that you can get at NAPA, they are like 33" long, might be a little long for most people but I don't want the lines holding me back. They are like $38 and the part number is 38286, THANK YOU JEEPN!!

Or the brake fluid will eat them and you'll die a horrible death with the firemen putting clothspins on your nose to obscure the burning stench of your passing.

Last hydraulic hose I had made was $38 for a steering line. That's probably not far off what the right thing runs.

i used the one from the tech library, got them from napa. i had to file a little bit on the fitting to make it fit the coil bucket right, and the bottom of the hard line had to be bent just a hair with a brake line bender.

These hoses are 26" long:

Raybestos
BH 38622
BH 38623

There are 2 numbers because there is a right and left side

When I did my 5.5 inch lift, I went to autozone and got two brake hoses, part #
77226 and
88291

You put these two together and it's about 24 inches and they worked perfect for me, for both sides....

Just my .2
