My credo
Work hard and play harder
As many people on here have motorcycles, my 3 YEAR project is about to end. I am finishing up my F2 and the Ranger will sit for the most part. Sorry guys but I have to take full advantage of what little time I have to ride. Thought I would share.

Don't worry. I gave up all my toys a few years back. I sold my last bike just over a year ago on Ebay... my street leagal X-Kit racer my 89 FZRR750 with 129 RWH and it weighed in at 269 lbs wet. I miss that one so much!! I spent years putting things back together and got to ride again for awhile. The wife did not like it since I an a disabled vet and I have become worse so I sold everything to put the money towards paying off the house early: Just a few of my 12 bikes I had at one time.

Looks like you are partial to Yamaha and cafe racer. Not a big hammer fan or cafe racers but they turned freakin' awesome. 2 wheels is 2 wheels though.

I'm really curious what an F2 is. I like dirt bikes when I was getting back into road bikes again a couple of years ago a friend got killed by hitting a deer decided it wasn't for me.

Yamaha RD's, RZ's, Suzuki TM's and Suzuki enduros, KTM's and Pentons. I learned to ride back in Africa 1967. I was a teen and my dad was an air force pilot and he bought me a Moto Guzzi 125 Cafe Racer. I got hung up on those low bars and rear sets!!!! lol. I used to flat track my old BSA and Norton one lunger bikes back in the early 70's. So, I rode for a very long time. I saw a few bad wrecks that killed a lot of people (mostly on the street). One day I just stopped riding when I saw an idiot on a GZXR 1000 run a red light doing about 120 mph and he slammed into a Win Dixie truck that had the right away. Man that was a bad wreck!! It happened about 20 ft in front of me!!That guy was torn into three sections!!!! It still is in my mind....

On one of my CBR forums I frequent, I did this with his F2. He won bike of the year. Here is the link for his 07 600RR build on another forum.

how bout some pics hoosier!?!?!?!

Here it is minus damn near everything to include the exhaust manifold. Sorry about the pic quality. It was taken with a cell phone. I just need to button it up once I get it back from the shop. For a list of mods see the 'Who rides motorcycles' thread in the Non-RBV section.

That's looking good. Are you going to swap a single sideed swingarm in there? That would be the cat's meow!!!!

I am looking into that now. I believe I can swap a VFR swing arm with a few mods. My main concern about that is messing with the geometry of the bike itself. I have a 160 rear tire now and I will be stepping up to a 180. If I do the SSSA swap, I will also be doing a........wait for it.................under tail exhaust. I may be new to the ranger scene but I am way more comfortable spinning a wrench on CBR.

Well I ordered new gear tonight. I ordered a ICON Team Merc Stage 3 mesh jacket in yellow, ICON Field Armor Chukka boots in wheat and a new lid by Speed and Strength model is Moment of Truth.
