That is a great place to mount it. A lot safer than I have seen on some other trucks and Jeeps. I have a removable clamp for my truck bed. I can take it off when I am done doing ou veteran parades.

good point...only in America does the Symbol of Freedom get stolen by ungrateful punks....

(can you set up a couple U-clamps so you can easily slide the staff out when it needs to be protected from rain/thieves?

ehh we never have done that around these parts but we only get about 7-8 calls a month...

Dang man that's crazy! Our department runs almost 14,000 calls a year out of 10 stations.
