I got a friend who has an 85 ranger it has the 2.3 in it but he put a F/I lower intake on it with the adapter and a holley 350cfm carb on it.also he has the 93 header and single exhaust back to a flowpro muffler then duals out the back.(it sounds really good) also power steering and a bunch of other parts I want. he wants $350 for it and it is a complete running truck.
Now the questions
1. with a small cam 260 duration 420 lift on a 112lobe center the intake off the truck and exhaust system how much power on my 2.0????
2. is $350 too much?
3. also how bad will the holley kill my mileage? the stock carb is an electric aisian and it works right when it feels like it. I wouldn't change it out but it has been a pain in the butt.
4. is there anything I should know before I do this swap?

It will make maybe 140hp and mileage will suck (dip below 20).

$350 is a deal for a complete RUNNING, driving vehicle

What I'm not understanding is what you're going to do with it, swap its motor into yours?

strip the performance parts off it and keep the long block to rebuild it @ a later date. then put the parts on my truck cause it looks better
also 140 horsepower is way better than 88hp
