I got a plane

So I haven't placed an update in awhile seen I've been busy. And last Saturday I soloed so I got that out of the way.
Everything is fixed on the plane and works fine it just needs to be washed.

Oh, I thought the rain in Spain fell mainly on the plane...I guess your plane is not in Spain...:)

Thats a negative on spain plane.

So I haven't updated this in awhile but I haven't gotten to do much flying lately trying to finish up my finals today and pack up to get home.
As for the plane its been sitting waiting for me to fly it.
And the other plane the Tiger Moth is dead so going to have to work on fixing that.

Nothing, my grandpa had been making hard landings with it, and finally the aluminum landing gear gave out on him and it faceplanted into the ground. Nobody got hurt but the plane needs work now.

Probably wrecked the engine too?

IIRC a prop strike is a mandatory rebuild.

I landed on a grass strip once in an ultralight... dang that was rough.

I was just reading a story about a Tiger Mother Flocker...no, I meant a Tiger Moth from a WWII era and was kind of wondering what they looked like...

I've seen them before...my Dad was WWII Air Force (tail gunner and trainer) so I heard and saw many plane stories when I was growing up...

Anyway...just wanted to thank you for the image...

Not necessarily, it has a wooden prop, and the wooden prop will give before it breaks the engine. A metal prop will break the engine.
The problem is that he cannot see forward from the back and he only has one eye so it's a bit difficult for him.

We were looking at real DH-84A Tiger Moths, it would be awesome to have a real one.

Got a plane.

Looks like a very nice 150, congrats.
I usta have a 1965 Cherokee 180, 10 years, sold it to a guy in Carson City.
He crashed it onto a sound wall off the end of the runway at the Carson airport
I think it was in 2002, there was an article in the RGJ.:bawling:

Well here I am.
2 years later.
After all my mechanical failures, weather, and school I did it.
Today I got my license, be it that I failed my checkride originally on a few things but I came back and proved that I could do them.

So next is to graduate school in December and work on my other ratings.

Congratulations!!!

My brother got his pilot's license a long time ago but gave up flying due to the cost of keeping his plane at the airport storage. Do you have a landing strip on the property or is that legal in your area?

Yes my grandpa has a ranch with his own strip and hangar.

Congratulations! 2 years of hard work pays off
