Thats all for now, soon my lift will be in and the rest of my strobes and all too.

What leaves do you now have in the back? I'd like to carry a bit more weight in mine without jacking it up.

I dont know exactly. bought em off a member on another forum. they gave me like 2 inches lift in the back

nice. i love the wheels...

but i wouldn't pull on that shackle where it is... that safety chain area is not that stout. i've tore one before w/ a shackle like that.. just a warning. get a

+1000!!!!! it's very thin metal intended for a trailer of no more than like 2000lbs, as a last resort in a case of emergency, and intended to use both sides, making the WWL somewhere around 1000lbs per side...

the shackle you put on there is probably an 8 ton shackle... and your strap (assuming you are using the proper recovery strap) is rated at probably 18,000lbs...

to show how serious this is, keeping in mind the numbers i posted above, on monday, i had 2 30' straps hooked together, trying to pull a truck out of a hole, both of the straps were rated 18,000lbs, and the one that was mine snapped on me... it will snap at the weakest point (that metal on the hitch) and anything between the other anchor point and the break will become a sling shot, namely between that is the shackle, weighing what? 3 lbs?

the 60'strap that i had, it sling shotted, the 30' that was attached to my truck coiled up in my bed, and mine (attached to the other vehicle) ended up mostly on the ground infront of my truck, with the remainder over the back window, across the roof and down the hood... almost perfectly in line with the center console... what's worse, i was looking through the back window when it snapped, and the small stick we used between the two straps (long explanation as to why) hit the back window... had we used a shackle instead of the way we did it (we did it the proper way) i would have lost the back window, and possibly my face...

more weight equals more momentium... a shackle on the end of that, the entire strap would have been in front of my truck, best case scenario... it wouldn't have lost it's speed so fast and landed in the bed

i wish i had taken a picture and i REALLY wish we had gotten it on video, it would have made for a very good training video for the local club!

weezel--- invest in a winch!

well i dont use that shackle for anything, it was just laying in my bed, i just put it on for shits and giggles. i need to get one of them, my trucks not a trail rig, its more a towing rig and recovery rig needed be.
I dont even have a stap in my truck, ive been putting off getting a good one.
And I love the ultra guage. its awesome, i havent had one problem, took me a while to calibrate it again when i got the bigger tires.

make sure you get a good strap when you get one... be safe bro

weezel--- invest in a winch!

It's on the list... No job Makes things Tight though...

Even if I had a winch, I wouldn't be pulling master hec0's truck out... It took 3 trucks anchored to eachother with static lines, and all 3 with wheel chocks, and the the ranger still pulled the 3 trucks towards it (both sides were pulling equal distance) they had to reset the trucks 4-5 times
