Found the site a few days ago when looking around for parts for the Ranger I'm picking up in the next couple days. I come from the land of VWs so I don't know much at all specific to Fords and will be using the sites resources to remedy that.

I'm picking up the truck just to tool around with and probably daily drive through the winter. It's a stock 97 4.0 Auto Supercab. Currently owning two modified VWs (one being a highly modified garage queen) as well as previously owning another VW that was completely built for auto-x, I can say with some certainty that the truck won't remain stock long.

and I know that :worthless: so sfter figuring out the site a little better over the next few days I will throw up some pictures of my toys.

Welcome to TRS...

I'm sure you will find more information on what you need once you know what you need...and there are plenty of mods that you can do, but they are great trucks for DDs just as stock...but who needs a great truck when you can have a fabulous truck?

I love Vw's.
I'm going to college this September, then starting my career in Volkswagen after that.
I'm SO stoked. Vw's have been my passion forever.

Oh, btw, rangers are awesome too. =]

Welcome. Where in CT are you? I live in Guilford, and go to school at UNH in West Haven.

Welcome to TRS. Volkswagens are great too. I am rocking a 1986 VW Cabriolet. Plan to do some mods, already have exhaust, stress bars and new engine gaskets all around. VW's handle and perform grate and are incredibly easy to work on. You'll enjoy your Ranger too.

thanks everyone, and exbass i'm up in Storrs.

I've been doing some work on the ranger already here and there. was looking for a new front bumper because mine is cut and missing the valance, ended up finding a 96 ranger on craigslist and picked it up for $125. So I'll be busy snagging the parts that are in better condition off of it. Turns out both rear shackles are completely gone on my 97...

Pretty soon I'll start a small project thread documenting this all.
