Well, it is being used as a gate right now.

I bought this for my daughter for her first car.

It has a few rough spots but it should be good with a little work. XLT, 4 cyl, 5 speed.
$350

obviously you're a smart man, that's a great vehicle for a young teenager to start out driving in. it'll need a good tailwind to hit 45mph, yet it's all metal, so they're more protected if they were in a wreck.

A 5 speed rolling gate...now that has to be a first...looks like the body is in pretty good shape...and it also looks like you have enough area for her to get used to it before blasting down the highway at 50 or so...although it is fuel injected so it probably has more power than mine does and that is just pushing enough to get out of its own way...

Nice training wheels over all...:icon_thumby:

I'm always so jealous of you guys and your awesome deals. How did you get that for so cheap? It runs and drives?

Looks like a very nice, well taken care of truck to me.

My Father N Law owns a car lot. Don't know about well taken care of, very dirty and looks like it will need a water pump. The local wrecking yard is having 50 percent off on all parts so will spend the day there getting parts for all of my cars and trucks

idk how u luck fer's always get good deals. that thing in the shape u say that it's in would go for right arounda grand over here, but everyone thinks that they are a dealership and can get that price for it

Its not luck, its persistence. I picked up a running B2 for 300 earlier this year and a 4wd 88 ranger ext cab for 700. Everytime I see someone in a Ranger or B2 that I like. I will go talk to the owner, plant the seed that if they ever want to get rid of it, that I'll give it a good home.

Good job, Dude!

I just got a 98 Supercab 4x4 with 209,000 on it for $200 but my son did some excavation work for the rest so I don't know the real price.

Great buy, and unless it ends up totalled beyond repair she could very well still be driving the thing 20 years from now. These old rangers hold up real well to quite a bit of abuse. At least you got her a 5 speed for a first vehicle, she can learn that and an automatic is easy as hell you don't have to do crap with those LOL.

My three daughters and my son have been taught to drive a standard transmission, change a tire, change the oil and do minor repaires. That way they won't have to sit and wait on someone to help them change a tire and while they might not do their own repair work they will have a clue if they are getting taken. And if they need to drive a standard they can do it.
