correct me if im wrong but explorers use i-beams, and i was wondering if it was possible to swap the beams from a first gen explorer to a first gen ranger and if it would provide more play in the axles or not with a lift on it, or if it would make lifting it easier.... thanks

This is a common upgrade for 4wd. The first gen explorer has d-35 TTB beams and they swap in place of the first gen Ranger d-28 TTB beams. I imagine that a two wheel drive Explorer would be the same, but I don't know if they made 2wd Explorers. Someone else please help.
Thanks,

Richard

No just give you an upgrade in axle if your ranger has a dana 28
