I have now bought a Heep.... I got a 1995 Cherokee 4x4 4.0 5spd, manual everything for $175. First 4x4 thats driveable in about a decade.

great rigs...have had a few.

for my daughters:thefinger:

but yes....i loved them. problem is, they were michigan vehicles, and rotted to hell where it counted but looked fine on the outside....creul creul cruel world.

Mine has no rust, needs some maint, and may need a trans, as 5th howls on decel, but other than that a few trim pieces and viola. I ordered a set of 1.75" spaers for the front and am now looking for cheap greasable 1.75- 2" rear shackles for the ability to fit 265-70-16's, the fenders have been trimmed and rolled, so it's sitting on 30's with no lift.

I had an identical one, only it was 2wd (weird I know). I loved it, drove it all through my teenage years... so basically to hell and back :headbang:. It never missed a beat, and had well over 300 000 km on before some hit me and it was totalled

Dang...I am a traitor as well, Bro!!! I have an 02 Grand Cherokee 4wd and I love it. More comfortable then the Ranger and I can put more people in it...but...I do love the Ranger!!

xj's are a cheap build up for a jeep.. wranglers cost to much
with the right parts they make a really nice trail rig also. do the 4.5 inch long arm, trimmed fenders and 35's... maybe you don't need that much lift for that tho. idk. lol

My G/Fs son has one been on it's side and the door got smashed in somehow. How it's maintained should be illegal and he's only replaced the idler pulley in two years. The reliability has been impressive.

I'm a trader too i just bought a Duramax.

An XJ with no rust? Never heard of one lol. Both my brothers have XJ's, other than them being rusty they run forever. The only problem with them is that there are so many of them its not really all that special of a car, but for $175 you cant beat that price :icon_thumby:

Ahh well a southern vehicle is way different than northern ones, around here you are lucky to find out with out rust. You may find one with no outer rust but the floor pans will be virtually gone. And they are not that cheap up here, the are usally over $1k and if not then they are pre 91, which dont have the H.O. I6 and nobody wants them.

oh i know, i'm lucky to live where i do.. i'm glad i can find solid trucks

Yeah your a traitor......But for 175 bux your prolly the cheapest traitor the cold war ever saw. LOL

Well, with the money paid for vehicle, money for doing tag/ title, coil spring spacers, and maint, free instrument cluster, senders for gauges, I have $525. Now this includes new PCV hoses, grommets, and vales from dodge, changing all fluids, p/s, brakes, clutch, gear oils, t-case, engine oil, coolant, window crank handle. I am trading a friend an old 5.0 and AOD for a vacuum canister, arms rests, door handle, console, and a few misc fox body parts I need to finish it off. Next is gonna be RRO greasable shackles and then some 16x8 wheels and some treadwright 265-70-16's, maybe 75's though....

How the F can you include the free instrument cluster in the cost of your vehicles, LOLOLOLOL.
