So we were pouring concrete pads for some new bins. To level the pad we had a piece of rebar in the middle and then had a 2x6 board as a rotary float. Worked great.

wow do you guys lease out your combined, or runn them all summer working diff. farms in the area. and nice job and the pad.

When we move on a field it dosn't take long......

We just operator for ourselves, we have done custom work a few years, but normally once we're done our land, we're pooped.

before you guys spout some "john deere" nonsense. I should say that I have no love for Deere. POOOOR dealer in our area, and I find the JD attitude very similar to the "jeep" attitude. My pop's was a gleaner service tech during the years when they did some important and critical updates/retrofits. He knows these machines with his eyes closed, and we ROUTINELY outperform Deeres, especially in Canola. Can't argue with success, lol.

if ya ask me that looked like fun, hangin out over the pad on a set of forks. I'd try it once.

How many acres do you farm on? Must be 10,000 to warrant owning all of that equipment.

It was, it was also my idea, lol.

I may have been teasin' We just acquired the R72's. So, previous years we had only 3 machines. 26000 acres. Which keeps 4 people very busy during harvest. 3 operators and 1 man trucking. busybusybusy. Barley we need a second trucker.
2 of the R7's are for sale, so, back down to 3 machines. (take note, they are all 'class 7' combines, classes are rated on HP and capacity. The largest machines out there are 'class 8' right now. we dont fool around when it comes time to get the crop in. we have a drying system that can *almost* keep up to the combines.)

Plus, we own all that because pop's is patient, and finds the sharpest deals.
