my i.a.c is fucked when i touch my throttle my engine revs up to 1700 and very slowly comes bake down to 900 i unplugged my i.a.c and now when i rev it up and let go of the gas it comes back down to to 900 right a way is it bad if i drive with it unplugged or should i buy a new 1
thanks

Cheaper to clean and see if that works versus going out and buying a new part. It may not be the problem anyway. When the engine sits at idle and you unplug the IAC does the idle change at all?

Yeah, take the sucker off and clean it out well with some carb cleaner. See if that improves your situation.

i cleaned it out good and it didn't help i put the i.a.c from my dads old 2.9 and it ran a little better but not like it ran without it unplugged

you can drive with it unplugged, but the motor WILL stall on you...and probably when you need it most. its just a matter of time.

What's with the IAC giving off an really loud humming noise? Only comes around in the winter time for me. That mean it's fuct?

Go out and buy a new one and put it on. Don't piss around with cleaning because most of the guys on here try that end up going out and buying one anyways.
