hydrolocked?

ok, will answer my own question ;-) Seems my fuel pressure regulator FAILED.... soooo, was getting fuel/gas being pushed into my cylinders at an alarming rate.... This COULD be the reason for original failure!?!? and here the shop said I had coolant in the cylinders... my guess, they saw fluid but must have had a cold that day and didn't smell the GAS!!!

Hmmmm.... With the hose from the regulator going into a seperate gas can, proly filled a half gallon within a minute while I let engine run briefly..... needless to say, am draining oil and changing filter as gas is in the engine from draining through the piston rings.... engine seemed to be running alot better when not getting flooded with gas and timing is a little miss but not getting the CLUNK/missed timing after moving the spline back the way I originally had it. Do get a bit of rattling it seems in one valve cover which begs the question asked previously - collapsed tappet gap adjustment??? perhaps I'll start a new thread for that in the next day or two.. I've grown old in this topic ;-) I'm talking to myself :icon_rofl:
