So pretty much i took my sploder out with my girl out to this place called menki pit, well its compltelly stock suspension and i got highway tires on it, well it happened on my way out of the pit i was coming throught one of the holes that i came through, well i went a little to far towards the center when going through it well front end slipped down into some ruts made by some 33's luckily when my motor died i was only a foot away from dry land, spent about three hours telling my buddy how to get to it, he got there towed me out, i thought my battery was just dead well hooked up jumper cables tryed starting it, and it just went click, so i was like son of a bithc im all locked up, towed it home behind a buddys truck, left it outside for the night took the girl home, messed around at her house then decided to come home, woke up at about 12 in the afternoon today, went out side took the spark plugs out and turned it over, beatiful sight seeing water spray out of all 6 cylinders, and then i had to stop to go to my cousins b day party, so tommrow im draing the oil and putting the new spark plugs in, i think im going to put the boshce plus 4's in it this time, yes i know im going to get grammer policed

you might want to hold off on spending bug $$ for plugs ,through in cheap ones for a couple weeks to a month, cause your engine may tend to blow apart on you.
When most engines get hydro locked they weaken the connecting rods & usually in a few days to a month the engines start to run rough or just blows with out a bit of notice.

My brother has been a mechanic for over 25 yrs & has seen this happen several times & it even happened to me about 4 yrs ago in a Sami.

I pulled plug as you did & got all the water out & reinstalled a set of new plugs & 3 days later going down the freeway at about 62mph the engine without any notice blew the #1connecting rod through the block.

The engine had been rebuilt about 6 months earlier with all new parts.
Just an FYI

Also your big mistake was screwing around instead of paying attention to your truck right away. So I wouldn’t be worrying about your grammar right now you have bigger problems to deal with. Rust in peace.

also NEVER try to start a vehicle that may have been hydrolocked, especially a ford colonge motor. Thes engines dont respond very well to being hydrolocked, and water does not compress, so attempting to start was one of the worst things u coulda done....

that being said, pay attention tot he truck, truck always comes first, while u have the plugs out put a little bit of marvel down each cylinder, it will help clear up any minor rusting that results from the hydrolocking, and expensive plugs have no gian on older motors, the truck will run better with motorcraft plugs or autolites then anything else, been doin it too long to justify to ANYONE spending the 6$ per plug.....

if you only tried to start it the two times then u may be safe, but theres so many variable that can go into this, like has been said, with new plugs u could get lucky and have it run fine, or.....it could explode in a few days(or bent valves, holes in piston, shit like that, those are alot more likely togo then the connecting rod in this case....

I hydrolocked mine nearly 2 years ago, didn't have tools with me, bumped the starter untill it forced the water past the rings. Started to crank over, about a minute of cranking it sputtered to life, drove into town without an air filter, lifters started ticking so I added quart of oil and it went away. Got to napa and installed an air filter and got some oil. Drove home, changed it, drove it 100 miles and changed it again. Still going strong 20,000 miles later, even with several 6000RPM+ floggings :)

Yeah i hydroocked my 2.9 once also. I bumped the starter a couple times and got nothin. i tried once more and it spun and sputtered to life, but ticking like crazy. I drove 5 miles to Safeway, changed the oil in the parking lot and the ticking was gone. There was no visible water in the oil, but it made the difference. I changed it again with the filter a few hundred miles later, and its been probably 4 or 5,000 miles since without a problem.

i never said it wasnt possible for the truck to be fine after a hydrolocking, i myself have hydrolocked more then my handfull of motors and most of them survived.

if you bumped the water past the rings with the starter.....you werent badly hydrolocked, probably less water then c chamber size.. probably stalled just in a nick of time. if there was more water then clearance in there its toast.

worse is when your laying on a side angle or inverted for an extended period of time and oil is in the cyl....that blows out alot of blocks too.

if you go off road, tools to remove plugs is a must have.

Yeah so todya i finally got around to pulling th elast spark plug i hit the starter and now my garage has water on the walls, but yeha im runing into westbay today and im going to buy some marvel and stick it down there like that one guy sugested, ok peace ill tell u how this goes

So i installed the new plugs, and all that good shit changed the oil, then it rotated twice and fired right up, SO then me and my buddys got bored and did that whole 300 somethen mile trip to ocean shores,
