need help ASAP. thanks

I cannot for the life on me get the damn thing in far enough with the o-ring on to get the pin in. I'm getting really pissed off since this is the only thing stopping me from driving my truck. is there some special way to get it together. i would think that i should have it in no more that 5 mins. Someone HELP!!

O ring onto the nipple, slide it in master cylinder, then knock the pin in to hold it. I just did mine and it wasn't very hard.

Are they both for the same year vehicle? They changed the master cylinder and the slave fitting on 93+. I found that out the hard way.

^^ what he said. the pin will catch behind that big "ring" going around the fitting holding the fitting into the master cylinder......done it 3 or 4 times in my life of owning rbvs

yeah. got them both for a 89 ranger. this thing is kicking my ass.:annoyed:

Just to make sure the red line is where the oring goes and green is where the pin will slide into.

Then WTF!!!!! i have been trying for 3 hours now and still you think if i use a c-clamp to hold it together then put the pin it will it be okay????

you actually don't want to push it in very far or else the pin won't hit the groove because the fitting is pushed too far in, just barely push it in with very little force and then try the pin

Um yeah that^ I have a spare o ring and pin too if it comes down to you needed another. My hydraulic line came with them and so did my master cylinder.

was i correct? were you pushing the pin in too far?

I have nothing wrong with my current clutch master cylinder, so is it possible to still use it by removing it to get the roll pin out to use the new hydraulic clutch line?

Plus if I can use the already installed clutch master cylinder can the lil metal actuator be pulled out or am I SOL?
