ok the truck is 83 2wd 2.0 carbed 4 speed.
im swaping in a 2.3 turbo motor and harness along with a 5 speed from a 91 the m50d iirc.

Well what i want to do is use my current 83 clutch master cylinder along with the newer 88-93 internal slave cylinder.
So with that being said my plan was to just cut my current line off the 83 clutch master as it looks to have a small barb on it and the 88-up newer internal hydro slave cylinder end has a small barb on it, and just make my own clutch line out of a rubber hose or a plastic line and heat it to fit it on.

What do you guys think of that?
Does anyone know if the later model 88-up clutch master will work with a 83 manual brake manual steering pedal cage?
as i think this might be a problem but i could be wrong.

No, definately not with rubber! or plastic that you don't know how strong it is. Hydraulic systems have very high pressures that rubber and most plastic lines can't tolerate.

You may have seen or heard of fixing fuel lines that way, but those only see 40psi to 60psi. Hydraulics are in the thousands of psi.

I replaced the clutch line on my Supercoupe the same way. I used plastic Synflex hydraulic line. It's held up fine for years. I don't recall what size it was, but I want to say it was 3/16".

Save the line from your '83 & sell it. It's a drop in line for someone doing an '87-'88 turbocoupe hydro bell T5 swap to their ranger. It is the line I used with my swap in my '91. Plugged right into the '91 master cylinder & the turbocoupe slave. Works perfect.

Hey bud new here, new to the build scene actually. I noticed you said an 83 hydraulic hose line would fit a T5 sc swap! I'm doing a 1988 ford ranger with a 88 super coupe swap actually and I wanted to verify with you if that's what you were saying. If so then that's perfect!!!

The clutch master is retained in the cylinder by a roll pin.

The clutch master cylinders are all the same from 1983-92
so all you need is the clutch line from a 1988-92 Ranger/BroncoII/Explorer.

The coupling at the slave cylinder end of the line is different 1993-up and NOT compatible with the 1988-92 coupler.

The 1988-92 coupler is anodized black, which often fades to a purplish color
The 1993-up coupler is a Yellow/gold color
