hey just have a few questions as i continue to build my new engine. Im looking to get a new turbo i currently have the garrett t3 .60 ar and im really looking to hit the 400 hp mark but still want it to be very streetable. I see alot of people using the hx35 turbo. now is everyone getting them off the cummins engines and the diesel engine turbos are different then the gas engine turbos? whats the differences. any opinions on turbo.. im looking for a quick spooling turbo and i really dont want to go over 18psi is this possible for 400hp. thanks.

It's been over 30 years since I looked into turbos, so anything I say is suspect. There are "maps" of the different turbo inlets and outlets. You need to know what rpm range your motor is going to be in for what your doing then you figure out what cfm and fuel you need to get the horsepower you want. Size the turbo to those numbers using the "maps". You can change the inlet size to get the spooling characteristics you want, also using the maps.
Also try PMing some members for info that you've seen do stuff you like.
