Need to sell my Shotgun, and my Bow. This isn't a for sale thread, everything will be sold to family/friends so that maybe I can get it back someday. I just have no idea what this stuff is worth. My car's inspections up at the end of the month and I need to replace an o2 sensor, brake line, and parking brake cable before it will pass. I have maybe 100 dollars to work with at the moment. My wheel bearings starting to go from bad to really bad so I need to fix that as well.

-Shotgun-
Mossberg 500A 3" chamber.
Two barrels,
--24" ported rifled slug barrel with cantilever scope mount.
--28" Accuchoke barrel with modified, full, and custom chokes.
Stock has removable cheek plates, and comes with the low profile one for the bird barrel and a raised cheek plate for the slug barrel.
Tasco Bantam scope.
Has a camo/leather sling, that might be good for a few extra bucks.
Excellent condition, no scratches or anything. Comes with a box of Sabots. ($20 in store)
Shot 9 times with the rifled barrel, always with sabots.
Shot once with the bird barrel and modified choke.

-Bow-
Martin Panther Magnum.
This is a custom bow, someone traded it in to Gander Mountain and my brother picked it up as a christmas present for me.
Dual cams, 55-70#.
Caliper release.
PSE. Top Gun F-16 illuminated sight.
Comes with 6 Radial X Weave Raven 200 arrows and tips.
Has a Plano Protector Series Model 1110 case.
Excellent condition, only fired maybe 20 times.

Shown in the picture of the shotgun is the scope, sling, and raised cheek plate.

How much are you needing?

Don't know yet, it depends on if I can splice the brake line or not. If not, I'll have to order the line from ford (it's like a 15 or 18 foot line!) and have the local shop put it on. It goes over the gas tank, around an "axle" and over the exhaust a few times so lots of things will need to be bolted off and taken down in order to change it if that's the case.

I also have no idea how much of a job I will have after Christmas, based on how I'm a holiday hire. I'm paying out 200 a month for insurance, and 80 a month for the loan on the car. I was hoping on having enough money saved up to supplement my January income until my college money kicks in but looks like that's not the case. I'm going to call up to Delhi to see when in January those loans will be in. Hopefully it will be in the middle or before the 28th so I wont have to worry about that insurance payment. After I get that I'll pay off the loan, and drop my insurance back down to the minimum. Not like getting in an accident matters now, one more claim and they'll drop me.

Normally I'm the kind of guy that does all the work on his vehicle himself or with the help of friends/family but it's way to cold out and my brothers heated garage where I was going to work on the car at burnt to the ground, along with his two cars, welders, tools, and freezers full of beef/venison. Oh, and his bow. So there's my buyer for that or I'll sell it to my other brother since he's been wanting one bad. I never really got into bow hunting, and I don't have much time to hunt anyways between college and work. I went out once with my shotgun this season before work for a couple hours and that's all I managed to do.

If $100 is all you got to work with. That may pay just for the e-brake cable. Wheel bearings will easily run into the $200~$300 price range, if you let a shop do it for you. If you do the work yourself, parts are about $60 and $40 to have the new races pressed in at Sear's. I know the wheel bearing part because I just did mine 2 weeks ago.

The shotgun can be bought in a combo now a days from Bass Pro or Dicks for about $300. I would say a used one would be worth $200 max.

I just sold an engine I had bought a freaking month ago........

yeah times are getting interesting.
And people wonder why I hate Christmas.

I was quoted for 210 or so on the wheel bearing. A new brake cable for my Escorts only about $20. I just have to figure out where the hell the damn thing runs to. It disappears under the front exhaust shield.

I think I paid around 300, 200 or so used sounds about right. I might start at 250, because I have other random extras that I'm throwing in the mix. I've got a case, flashlight mount, different style butt plate, and a few other random things.

Sorry to hear that Koda,
But I have a question. What exactly is a car inspection? We don't have them here in Mason County.

They saying things are getting better but those are the people who will not lose their job till the next election. Big news is that there are fewer people applying for first time un-employment, don't they realized that they have hit bottom and not much more to bleed. Sorry to hear about the money problems, seems like it's all over.

im guessing that its to make sure the car passes all emission laws and stuff?....we dont have it here either.

All vehicles in NYS need to have an inspection sticker on them, good for one year. Costs $23 I believe. I just had my truck inspected three days before I took it off the road. I would have left it, but I drive through police roadblocks every couple days.

They're supposed to check that all lights work, brakes work, e-brake holds the vehicle in neutral, tires have at least 3/32 tread (I think), front glass can't have a crack larger than 1" or any crack in line of sight, all mechanical parts need to be in reasonable condition, cat needs to be there, etc. Most places check all of that, but some just do a quick once over and your good. Others slap a sticker on and tell you to have a nice day. They could lose their inspection station status by doing that, but no one complains.

1996+ vehicles need to have emissions testing done as well. A trouble code or unhooked battery = instant failure.

Koda, where exactly is Masonville? I'm not all that far from the PA state line and I'm fairly used to working out in the cold. If you are close enough I can come help you get 'er done.
