Hurst Shifter Question

Looking into buying a Hurst shifter for my 2003 Ranger. My question is, has the venting problem been fixed with Hurst? Will I still need to run a vent hose?

I ask because I see no recent threads on this topic and also I called Hurst and they said they haven't ever heard of this issue?

Thanks for the input.

I'm curious about this too. The most recent threads I can find are early 2012, and none after.

hurst

I beleive it was only on the early ones 99 down, if your short armed or tall pass on it cause there a pain in the but*I didnt like mine at 6'1 I pulled it out and trade for a stocker and cash

Why do you say you didn't like it? Too close? I'm 6'2", but I would find it nicer not having so much throw.

Hello JKANE, I'd like to know if you go with the Hurst shifter, what alterations you make and do they work. I really want to go with the Hurst shifter but, don't want any oil leaks either. Keep this thread open with your progress. Thanks: Kowboy
