Can a Hurst Shifter be installed on a 2010?

Hello just wondering if a hurst shifter kit would fit a 2010 manual b series / ranger? Cause there site only lists it as upto 2005.

I read in the tech library that 2001 and up, 4 liters use the same tranny, so the shift kit listed up to 2005 should be ok? I just want to double check, before I order / wreck something.

it'll bolt on just fine.

Is there any related issues after installing, ie: leaking fluid from your tranny? Or is this a pretty safe upgrade?

bump a d bump

Just wanted to make sure before I order the Hurst shifter, that installing it wont cause the tranny to leak fluid. I had read a thread where a guy was having problems with that. I don't want to cause a problem after doing this mod.

Thanks in advance.

i believe that issue was fixed from the factory...some of the m50d's had rubber plugs by the shifter that would leak...so you should be fine

Thanks...

Love your sig, about Ford by the way. So true.

Update!

So I have installed the Hurst! I have been driving around for about a week and I love it. I will post some pics soon.

I do have one question, noticed today that in the top of the shifter where the shaft is, there is some yellow grease. The grease now has a bit of a pink tinge to it now :icon_surprised:

Is this normal or is the oil seal bunk? Their does not seem to be any leaking around the outside of the shifter from what I can feel. I will take the console, and the shifter plate off to inspect it, but that wont be until friday or saturday.

I think I have a cure for the rattle in 3rd or 4th, but wont get to it later in the week.

Update

So I have had the hurst installed for a few months now, and everything seems good. I do have one question. If I was leaking any trans fluid would I see it on the ground under the truck? Or will the fluid sit on top of the tranny? I have looked underneath the truck and everything looks good. I just can't feel the top of the tranny very well.
