Hard to believe and kind of a contradition but a lot of the Hurst Olds came with a Turbo Hydromatic 400. Just a cheap way of getting from point A to B when no ones looking.Hurst? Those are usually white with gold trim... not likely to find a newer minivan with a manual trans either.

Well, back then there were not a lot of options. If you had the power, three's enough. Look at what they are using at the strip today. The hot new Cobra Jet is using the C-4 and a lot are using the old power glide. That hearest would sure catch a lot of eyes and attention with another 300 hp, they're out there. That is a pretty decent tranny.... as long as you only need 3 gears.
