I'm hunting a tranny for a 2.3L for 4wd conversion.
Having trouble finding one.
Have BII parts vehicle but had a 2.9L in it.
Or what tranny will bolt to the transfer case?
Truck has a manual tranny now, wanna stay that way.

I believe any transfer case will bolt to the transmission, but as you seem to already know the 2.3s have a different bellhousing than the 2.9.

Does anyone have a clue where I can find one?
Maybe you're local salvage yard?

Your more likely option is going to be to get an output shaft/main shaft from a 4x4 tranny and the 4x4 extension housing and swap them onto/into your 2.3L 2wd tranny assuming that your starting with a 2wd 2.3L M5OD transmission.
