was it drippin on your feet?looks like you're already smearing around some black stuff in there.
i don't know if i would on my truck but i used panel patch adhesive on the rust bucket shop ranger to attach the new cowl along the glass side so the heat wouldn't roast the dash or window seal.

I patched some areas behind the dash when I built the truck but never was able to get into the cowl area to seal it up. Yes it was leaking on the feet. Most of the summer the added drain plugs were out incase it rained. The floor dries up pretty quick then.

I also hated the slots in the openings as it let big debris get int the cowl and that's a #1 reason they rust out so quick. Second Gen cowl is what I'll be using to go back on.

Yes again I'll be using a panel bond around the window area but everywhere else will get plug welded.

so are you going to use a cowl panel off a 90+ that has the small holes instead of slots?

You can see the tiny holes in the picture above ^

What's the red hose?

Looks like a 2ga wire for a 3000w amp:D

That's a helluva job you're tackling, and you have a better idea than Ford did originally in replacing it with a second generation cowl panel. Good luck on it, man; you've got stones of steel to take that project on. I hope that it turns out great, and please post some finished pics.

No I just do more than teh average Joe would. I've got likes and dislikes from both gens. So I'm trying to get that happy medium. I'm going to wet the area down before i seal it all up this way if there are any leaks I can get to them again instead of having to drill out a billion spot welds again.

oops i should have read the rest of his post, don't help that the pics load like frozen molasses on my cpu so i almost never look at multiple pics of what i thought was the same thing.
