When I bought my truck last year (94 ranger xlt)the body was in fairly decent shape, rust was minimal from the looks of it. Well over the last year it has spread a lot. So I was going to attempt to fix it as my first project but people have told me it isn't a job for a beginner. So I started looking up info on the rangers and seen that a lot of the parts are interchangeable. The site I am looking to buy most of the parts from have maybe a 5 dollar increase for newer year parts. So I figured why not make the truck look like an 01+ ranger for far less then it would be to buy a new one. So I just want to verify that all of the parts will match up before I start buying them.

Once again I have a 94 ranger. I will be looking at all parts from 98 and up. Most of the parts I want to be 01 and up though unless the part is a lot cheaper and looks basically the same.

I will be getting new front fenders, a bed, front bumper, possibly doors, hood.

Now I am sure that all the beds 93+ fit. The post just made helped me out with that ;).

Also I seen the thread just made that said all the doors are interchangeable too.

Now I'm pretty sure the fenders are... just not positive.

I have no idea with the bumpers. That is the thing I want to change the most too. So hopefully you guys will be telling me it is. Even if it isn't a 'direct bolt on' tell me what I would have to do.

Also what about the hood.

Last question. Are there sites that sell ranger beds or is my best bet to look at salvage yards or craigslist?

need a 98+ radiator support for the 98-09 front end, then everthing is bolt up, hood fenders, headlights etc, the bumper will take some fab work since the frame horns are different on the 94, so you will have to make up some mounts for it,thats about it for the 93-97 to 98+ conversion.

That's awesome. So what do you have to do to put in a new radiator support? Just cut out the old one and weld back in the new one?

anyone know? And what do you mean fab up some mounts?

sorry, not meaning to threadjack here....

so, for a '94 ranger, from 93-09 lights will mount straight up?

if so, my search for decent lights at the salvage yard just got a whole lot easier!! lol.

thanks, and good luck with that project man!

Not ALL beds will fit. Long beds and short beds are not interchangable.

Yea I knew that...thanks for throwing that out there in case I didn't though.

Also do I have to get a new hood hinge and hood latch when I do all of this? Also will my radiator still work with the new radiator support?

I compaired my rad. core support to a co - workers 98 & I beleive that the 94 can be used. You may just need to open up holes in the head light area & maybe redrill some holes for the headlamp header panel to mount to as you will need a newer header panel.
