Story:
A month ago while rotating my tires... my pass side hub pushed itself out with the spring, but I noticed half of a thin washer dangling from the spring. Being the "Genius" that I am... I removed the piece of washer, and pushed the hub back in to put the tire back on. A week later snow had fallen so I decided to place in 4-High. All was fine .....4x4 worked..... few days later unlocked hubs. FF 2-weeks...... I turned a corner a little too fast and snapped the top half of the hub right off ! Removed the driver side hub and noticed another piece of washer that has the spline notches was stuck to the inside of the hub, and the other piece still next to the spline.

This is my daily driver, and I am sure that I cant just go out and buy some hubs, and just slap them on...! There is more involved... but I just Dont know WHAT.....? I have read alot of threads bout auto to manual, but not just replacing manual..!
I really need help....and would like to do it myself.... But where do I begin...?

here are some pics.... and can take more if needed......Thanks. :dunno:

well it looks like your hub is fine.... looks like the splined washer has fallen off the axle shaft.. theirs a splined washer an a c clip that keeps the stub shaft "out" a little an prevents it from being pushed in.. it looks to me your missing the splined washer an the c clip.

Which will allow the driverside axleshaft to 'walk' in and out of the differential as there is no C clip holding it in.

Looks like the outer locknut has backed itself off destroying the splined washer and popping the c clip off of the end of the shaft.

Torque that outer lock nut down to 220-240ft lbs, get a new set of splined washers and c clips for the axle shaft and put the hubs back on.

Thank you ALL so much for replying.

Can I get a new set of splined washers and c-clips from someplace like AAuto or AZone.... or even a junkyard...?

As far as hubs..... since one of them (passenger) was destroyed, do you recommend a new set or go with some also from the yard...?

Warn...... Mile marker........ Warn from a jeep.....?

Thanks again. I freakin Love you guyz.... <---Thats right! I said it....!
