Howdy! Odd guy with an odd Ranger here
Hey guys, my name is Dan and I've got a dented up 1998 Ranger that I've been giving the rallycross racer makeover for the past couple of years; I've raced it in the Detroit SCCA rallycross series pretty much every month for the past 3 years.
It started life as a 700 dollar beater, and has become a goofy multicolored rally toy as I found parts on the cheap in the junkyard or Craigslist. It's still a 2.5/autotragic, but it's gotten an SUA Explorer LSD 8.8 axle setup with a 4.56 ring and pinion, a Focus-based floor shifter, Bilstein shocks, energy suspension bushings, Michelin ZA81 rally tires, a few lights and what have you. I've had stupid cheap fun with this thing already, and I intend to keep doing so for a while. I'll post up some racing pics when I can find them.
Edit: Found a couple of pictures. I'll make a build thread at some point to toss some more up. Sorry they're so large.
