I have a gem of a 1988 4x4, 2.9L MT and it is a PROJECT. Many of my tools are in storage and I am really having to rack my memory on this beast.
I have found y'all invaluable. I have a new "used" trans installed, windshield, exhaust, but it is still pouring oil from engine front and rear mains and runs like crap once warm (40-50MPH max backfiring the whole time). NTM 1/3 of the wiring I found behind the fuse box melted....so, need to get it running well, then wires/fuse box, then leaks.... not my first project, but first while using as a daily driver.... Yes, that's my own paint job. Better than the creme colored rust-ish it had...
