Hello,
I'm Jim. I live in Connecticut. I'm a truck guy at heart, a born and bread Bowtie fan but no longer anywhere near as biased as I used to be. You can blame/credit the reason I am here on the fact that the GF drives a 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac and as such, I get to work on a 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac when things go wrong with it. Thankfully, it has been a very reliable truck over the last 5 years and I am considering buying one of my own, or maybe a Ranger, for a daily driver.
*My* primary vehicle is a 2009 GMC Sierra 1500 ECSB SLEII Z71. When I'm not driving that, it's usually my 06 Grand Prix that gets me where I am going. It's also the Grand Prix that I would like to replace with something Ranger based or GMT355 based.
My project vehicles consist of a 1995 RCSB S10 with an LT-1 and 700R4 swapped in. This truck is always for sale. It's MOSTLY complete. It only needs some finishing on the interior and the exhaust to be quieted down to meet the closest definition of a project truck can have in my world.
I also have a Square Bodied GM Fullsize truck that I am slowly working to rebuild from the frame up.
Despite my Bowtie leanings, I am actually hear to learn Fords and possibly buy one or two in the future.
See you around the forums, hopefully.
