Name's Alan, and was assigned a 2003 ford ranger pickup for work with a full serving of issues from broken door handles, stuck tailgate, sticky clutch, and shorts in the audio system to shot shocks, a failing hood latch, and corroded battery cables stuck on with bailing wire.
looking to be spending a full two months of repairing a pickup all the while farming in the california central valley.
i own a 2003 nissan frontier pickup (the ford is my work truck) and so far i've found that the nissan is a lot easier to work on (really simple, good quality engineering), so i signed up here hoping to get some advice and pointers on how to make my job easier working on the ford.
owned a 1989 ranger for three months in high school, then it blew a gasket and ruined the engine. fun truck, miss it a ton.
