So I have been running this idea through my head lately and I need some outside opinions on this. So I know I haven't had my helos very long but I am already getting tired of them, 16s are just to small and I want to go bigger... But how much bigger will still look good??? And will it fit???

No matter what I am sticking with a 33" tire(been looking at duratracs). Im thinking about going with an 18 or maybe even a 20 wheel and either 9 or 10 wide. Also alot of the wheels I like dont come in the right bolt pattern but Im thinking about just getting adapters to run the ones I really want. Would I be able to make this work with no to minimal tire rub?

So for example.... A 20x10 XD Rockstar with -24 offset and 4.56 bs
Would have to run an adapter and would either be 1.25 or 1.5 inches.

And for a tire BFG KM2 305/55/20(33.2x12)

Would that fit or rub like all hell? Anybody else went that big? Either 18 or 20 with a mud tire? Pics?

For the record here is how my truck sits now...

Okay go(flame shield is on)

looks way better as it is imo. besides those rims will get beat up while doing off road driving

Those KMC's are good durable rims. Even if they do get beat up they will still look good and they don't scratch easy. I say go for it. A friend of mine has a set of 24 inchers(I think) on his F-250 and they still look awesome even though he mobs it through the desert all the time.

just keep in mind, they dont like mud and dirt, so if u DO ever get stuck, dont spin ur wheels a bunch trying to get out, ull ruin ur brand new 20s

Those are not the wheels I was thinking about getting... I just put up a quick example to see what people thought and if they would fit.... I'm looking at getting some BMFs either 18s or 20s.

Personally, I think the truck looks too good now to do something like that too. I wouldnt put 20's on it ever. I say level it out and keep the rim/tire combo. Thats just me though.

Go for the BMF's. They will do way better offroad. Just get the matte black hardcoat on them. That looks best IMO and it should stay pretty much scratch free.

Yeah Im really like the BMFs(expensive as f**k tho)... They have some in a 17x9 so I might go that route. Im Just wanting to do something different and I havent seen many rangers with 18s or 20s with mud tires...might be cuz it looks bad, but you never know without trying.

+1

Wouldn't change a thing :icon_thumby:

IMO a RBV doesn't have the bodymass to offset the look of wheels much bigger than 16's. Tires get horrifically more expensive the bigger you go too.

real question is can you find a 33" tire that can run a 20" rim

i hate rockstars, every mall crawler has them. way over hyped. just my .02

amen brotha! lol
i'm so tired of rockstars.. mainly 20" rockstars with 35" toyo m/t's...
