My credo
Why should I pay someone else to screw it up when I can screw it up myself for free?
I need to remove my intake hose section and have never seen this type of connector. I don't want to break it trying to figure it out like some electrical connectors in the past. Is it a Special tool like fuel line connections or just some secret handshake? I can always take the crimp clamp off and use a hose clamp I suppose.

Looks like a quick disconnect and would need a specific tool.

No not like a fuel line

Push the green part toward the raised black side it should release the hose

This is a Breather hose for PCV system, so no pressure inside, but is an emissions system so needs secure connection, why not a hose clamp like they used for 75 years???
Have to ask Ford, lol

Agreed. That's not a very elegant solution. 2 different style clamps with a reducer in between. Could have just redesigned the port on the intake to the smaller diameter so that the PCV tube could slide in and be secured with a clamp. One connection. Simpler. Fewer parts. Fewer chances to leak.

Thanks all. I just removed the crimp clamp and finagled the stub piece out of the intake tube. Next I'll dump that quik connect and slip in a 5/8" hose and clamps. What an idiotic design, they must be German engineers paying us back for WWII.

That is probably the easiest disconnector to disconnect that Ford has ever used. You press the green part and it will slide right off.
