So i've had my truck lowered for about a year now but in my opinion the truck rides higher in the front, i was just wondering if anyone had thoughts on how to lower the front an inch to make the rear and front flush? I'm not sure on which route i should take to do that!

Here's a picture of its current stance as of this last summer:

Any feedback welcome, Thanks guys!

You need to get drop coils

That's exactly was I was thinking too! Thank you for feedback! Do you kow of any specific types that are good or would any lowering coils be good? I've looked on eBay for lowering springs but I'm not sure if that's the way to go or is there a specific type than springs? Thanks again man!

There are name brand coils you can use, but no matter which you go with, they all will settle after breakin....

How is the front lowered now? If it's just beams, then coils are a good idea like RangerSVT said. I think drop coils will drop the front 2 inches though.

How about lower profile tires? Though they look low already.

Yeah it is lowered by the beams but just the stock springs and some drop shocks, in my opinion the rear sits about an inch or so lower could be just me though lol! I want to put some 17 inch Cobra R's underneath it this spring though so I'm not sure if I should lower the front or just leave it and see when input the 17's on!

That's the other option I was contemplating I'm going to 17 inch Cobra R's this spring so I might just wait and see how they bolt up underneath!
Thanks man for feedback!

If it was me, I'd cut one complete coil off each spring...be sure to rotate the shortened spring until the freshly cut end of the coil sits against the built-in stop on the upper spring perch.

Now if you want to drop it 2 inches...buy the springs!

I like idea a lot! Will it ride any different? It rides decent now but I guess I can't really make a lowered truck ride any "better or worse" per say lol!
Thanks for the feedback:icon_thumby:

When I eye across following the body line the rear wheel opening is a couple inches closer to the ground. If your good at body work you could cut out the opening from another box and replace the original opening on the fenders. Pretty time consuming though.

Just an idea

Maybe instead of lowering the front more, maybe lift the rear an inch with a chevy shakle like myself and another person on here did. that way it sits more level and also gives you room to run your cobra wheels, which are pretty wide if I remember. Little extra room upfront may not hurt then. :icon_cheers:

+1......if'n your gonna change wheels...do that first--then see how it sits & how much room you have in order to lower it....

EDIT: IF YOU DO CUT THE COILS--ONLY CUT 1/2 A COIL OFF......ON EACH SIDE AT FIRST(be sure to rotate the top of the coils the same so that the front end won't sit lop-sided) ---THAT MAY BE ENOUGH!!!
