I'm trying to finish off my conversion. I have a 1987 4x4 ranger that had the 2.9L engine. I have installed an NV3550 trany using the stock T-case. The adapters I had to use to connect the trany to the T-case really changed the lengths of the rear and front drive shafts. I will need to have the rear cut down and the font will need to be new because it needs to be longer. How in the world do I pull out the yoke on the front axle? I'm assuming I need to do this to get the right drive shaft made. If I don't need to do this will someone please share your knowledge on another way? I would love to leave that alone and just lengthen the drive shaft from the splines back to the T-case. I'm sure I'm dreaming.
