Hello Fellow Members,

I'm Jimmy3970 & I have a 1985 Ford Ranger xlt. I did a V8 & Tranny Swap a few Months ago. I Lowered the Ranger Yrs ago & when I did My V8 & Tranny Swap I did a 3" Body Lift on the Ranger to have room for the V8 & Tranny & AC & My Aircleaner so that when I close My Hood My Aircleaner would clear My Hood when i close it. I did kept my lower I-Beams because the guy who did my swap said it was no big deal cause they are a heavy I-Beam & would help the new weight of the Engine . My problem now is after I did my 3" body lift & got new tires My Front Bumper way off from where it should be . The guy put the new 3" blocks on top of my old stock rubber bushings so I think the FrontEnd is not 3" high I think it is 4" high. I have a fellow Member who said the front & back looks the same. I disagree with him on that. If the FrontEnd is 1" too high what can I do to lower it 1" . Any Thought Is welcome.

In order to avoid the no-picture dilema of the last thread, here it is.

It looks a little higher in the front. You could take the front lift blocks and cut them down an inch.

Thanks BlackB2,

Ok so how would that help me lower the frontend & how hard would that be to do. Is there anyway else that I can lower the front. Just thinking of my Radiator cuz I have two homemade steel Radiator Hoses from My Radiator to the Engine. There is a picture of it in the street ranger section of a group i belong to so you can see those steel homemade hoses. Could I do a storter coil like get one that would lower the front by 1" inches or maybe 1 1/2 inches. Would that work or not work.

Yeah shorter coils would work, but your tires will then be sitting like this / \

But....Nothing an alignment wont fix! :icon_thumby:

Thanks all who responded to my help on the frontend of my ranger. If I do shorter coils how do i find what i'm needing to do a shorter coil like should i do 1inch or 1" & a half & should i do anything to the rearend also so it would match with the front.
