Well, I've a 02 Ranger 2.3 5 speed with 98K miles.

Other than the 1st gear a little hard to engage, it's running good.

Alldatadiy does NOTHING to explain how to check the clutch.

Hoe do I check the condition of the clutch or whare can I get the info???

Thanks guys.

You may be having a hydraulic problem, more common than the clutch wearing out. There is no way to visibly look at the clutch while it is installed to see if it is shot- but usually the friction point will be way high if there is significant wear, and it may start slipping. If the slave is going out you'll have to pull the tranny out to replace it, and may as well swap everything in the bellhousing while you're in there.

best kit is motorcraft, find a parts store that sells them, as the stealership will bone you bad...
