how to adjust headlamp aim?

94 ranger, I would like to aim the headlamps myself. I have aimed other headlamps successfully by setting the vehicle 25 feet away from a wall and adjusting them to a bit below a level height.
My question is how do I physically adjust these Ranger headlamps?. I see two adjusters on each headlamp, but how do I turn them? One seems to have a philips screwdriver head that could perhaps be turned from standing outside the truck, but the other one doesn't have such a head. When I look at the back of each adjuster screw, I see the end is six sided, and perhaps could be turned by a socket, but I don't have one that small. Is there a special tool to turn those adjusters from inside the truck engine compartment?

I used a anally small socket to adjust mine. I don't remember the size, but a regular craftsman socket will fit it.

I have craftsman sockets, I will try my smallest one again. Maybe I will have to buy a real tiny one. thanks for the info.

There is a special tool for adjusting Ford headlamps too, it has a friction head instead of a ratchet. Kind of a neat tool but cost about $20.

You take it to the dealer (or the corner garage) and give them $20. Really.

Aiming headlights is REALLY quick and easy if you have the correct tools and a level spot. It's a moderate PITA if you don't.

It's worth it to have it done correctly. Badly aimed headlights will piss off all the other drivers and/or make it next to impossible for you to see.

i need adjust mine too, the ass end of my ranger is higher than the front and my lights dont shine that far ahead of me
