I must be wording this wrong because I cant find it on here or google. But how do you access the engine codes on a 1999 2.5 liter ranger?
I know how to get GM codes, either use the special metal "key" or jump a certain set of holes in the connector and watch the check engine light flash out the codes.
This is the first Ford Ive ever owned, and I need to figure out how to access these codes.
I was just in here a week or so ago with fuel pump questions. We changed the fuel pump, it ran for about a week and now right back to the same old thing. Ive read that the aftermarket pumps are junk and may work for a week or a month.
By depressing the Schrader valve, gas will shoot up only 3 or 3 inches high whether the key is just on or Im cranking it. Seems certain it should be under enough pressure to hit the bottom of the hood!
I thought Id try and see if there are any codes before we pull the tank tomorrow, just in case its something else.
Already checked fuses and put in a new fuel pump relay.
Thanks!
