How Strong is the Tailgate?

I've used it with no problem to load a motorcycle, but I can't guarantee anything beyond that.

thats what i was thinking, ive loaded bikes up and down my truck (using the tailgate) with no problem. all were old school (i.e heavier then the new stuff). i was even sitting on one to guide it down and it held. im sure your ranger is better then my old mazda (or preaty equivilant)

3/4inch FLOORING OSB, its very strong, waterproof, and you can store it against the wall when you're not using it

just cut it to fit in your bed all the way to the end of your tailgate
