How screwed am I?

Put in headers! Haha, it'll be easy to put sensors in then

Blech.... I'm just going to focus on getting the lift done for now.. I'm moving the truck outside tommorow and heating up the garage hanging and painting the lift parts... Whats the pipe that comes off of the exhaust manifolds leading down to the intermediate pipe? i cant find a replacement just looking at a price.

I thought it was called the y-pipe but I'm having trouble finding it under that name.

that's the part you're looking for, on your truck the cats are built into the y-pipe apparently.

The thing is they aren't built in the y-pipe, they are after the intermediate pipe, and all i need is just a standard 4.0 v6 OHV y-pipe. dang this is frustrating.

Like I said, go visit a muffler shop, they can cut the old one out, and weld in a new O2 bung, and it'll be like 20 bucks or so...A lot less frustration:icon_thumby:

my buddy works at a custom car/truck shop so i brought it over there and we tore it apart from the cats forward, cut the y-pipe before the flange to the cats and disconnected the cat from the tailpipe and took it out to weld new bungs in. Exciting stuff..... broke a couple manifold studs, !@$% that will be fun.

LOL, yeah, thats another reason to take it to an exhaust shop, if the bolts break in the exhaust manifold ( which are a PITA to remove to start with, especially without a lift), its there baby to deal with, and its on them...:icon_thumby:

Most exhaust shops will have a sign posted stating that broken manifold studs are NOT their problem and you will be charged to get them out.

Plus i'd rather help out a local guy who i know and trust and he knows what hes doing. Plus i get to do the work myself and i learn. and I just pay him for the shop time/welding gas/etc and they got virtually any tool i'd need. It works out great for both of us.

Well, I was replacing my o2 sensors. They were giving me hell but I finally got them out. Little did i realize, the drivers side y-pipe o2 sensor hole stripped out and so did the after cat o2 sensor hole. How screwed am I? this is my DD. What are my options?
