I got a '84 Ranger with a 2.8 v6, worn out C3 transmission. My truck has new brakes, body is decent and good tires.
My dad has a '88 Ranger Ext cab with a 2.9 and a 5spd. Front end grill area is all messed up from a deer accident a few years ago, and just recently the steering column melted from a shorted wire(melted the dash cluster also)
So I was thinking on buying my Dad's Ranger and upgrading mine to a 2.9 and a 5 spd.
Can you give me an ideal of how much work this will evolve? I'm thinking the hard part would be with the installing of the manual transmission hydraulic works into my truck.
