I bought a 97 ranger recently that was already lowered (monoleafs in the back and cut springs in the front) the truck sits low, and the camber is off in the front tires, I measured the front spring travel, it was about 9-1/2 to 9-3/4 from the top of the spring to the bottom, and about 6 rings in the springs roughly. So i'm just wondering what height/size was the original springs on this year, so i know if i need new springs or just a realignment
thanks for any help

Sounds similar to my '89 2WD XLT/sounds like they cut off a couple coils on each coil spring(about 2 & 1/2" on each)--I re-aligned it myself using info in the "Tech Library", but you could have it done for about $50. Wait for the other guys to reply to get all your options:icon_thumby:

I would just get new springs anyway..

yea i'm considering new springs....but i kind of like the way it sits right now...minus the neg camber.... i was told on rangerpowersports that i could buy a set of camber bushings(3.5 degree) and it would most likely correct the camber issue

You can get it to sit the way you like it with new lowering coil springs--that's what I plan on doing. I cut my coil springs & re- aligned it---now that I have everything the way I want it, the guys convinced me to get the lowering(drop) coils to do the job 100% right:icon_hornsup:
