Old truck in my avatar has 175K, blew a freeze plug behind flywheel, ran great and still does, no smoke at all. I need to pull it and keep it as a spare, it's not worth fixing the yellow truck now. It turns out it'll cost over 200 in junkyard parts to fix. I can't get more than 500 for it.
The new one has 245K, runs strong, gives a puff of smoke on start up when I let it sit for a day or two. It's a bad valve seal.
158,000 hard miles on my 2004. The truck has a big glass rack bolted to the bed and its all the motor can do to run with traffic on the x-way. Definatly surprised me
'91 Ranger SuperCab, 5 speed, have only had it a few months, over 2,000 kms. since then, runs like the bees' knees. Just rolled 219,000 kms. (136,000 miles)
up to 127K Miles, have 9k of my own, i drive it kinda hard,
a valve did get stuck open form something in the valve guide, and tapped the piston a few times, pulled the head, got it machined and fixed, (only $65 for new valve, guide, and seat) ended up costing me a little over $300 to do it myself. but now have just over 3k on the new gasket and no problems, runs like a champ!
91 3.0 4x2 5speed - 181K+ miles, not exactly sure what the actual is, it was towed behind a camper before I bought it, runs like it has 80k on it with the new trans, its dead now though something with the ignition.. other that that great great truck
126,000 on my 06 sport had to change the motor at 80,000 cause it spun the number 1 rod baring but good news is got a used 3.0 out of an 04 auto put in and been goin strong since the change.
