Not sure if this has been a topic before, and if so I apologize. This has always been a great topic on the Mustang forums I'm on.. thought I'd bring it here too.. plus I havent posted in a while.

I'll start...

I have a 2004 Ranger FX4 Level II, and I'm at 269,5xx miles as of this morning.... still on the ORIGINAL TIMING CHAINS/TENSIONERS/GUIDES! LOL

Our 05 rolled 130K yesterday. We bought it with around 95K last summer.

198,000kms on my 02...original timing components

96,000 on the 02 and 105,000 on the 08. Normal maintenance only. Knock on wood!!!

190,500 miles on my 02. It still has the original timing chain guides and timing chains. I did replace the timing chain tensioners around 150K miles as preventive maintenance. I heard it was a good thing to do and I found them at a reasonable price. The old ones were still good though.

I have also replaced the thermostat housing and the spark plug wires. Other than that just normal maintenance items on the engine.

175k on my 02, original timing parts. on my third thermostat housing...

180K running like a champ, But has the timing chain tensioner noise at start up .

Misread thread topic initially.

2006 4.0 SOHC 129,000mi and no issues yet.

Howdy,

My 2004 4x4 4.0L SOHC w/ M5od-R1HD has 348k on it, bought it in 2010 with 38k on it. Doing my second big repair on it now, clutch replacement w/ trany rebuild. First big one was the thermostat housing last fall.

Thanks & Have a good one,

Ted

You put 300k+ on it in 6 years!?

Not a SOHC, but my OHV is at 243k. Doin valve cover gaskets Friday. She's leakin'.... a lot.

178K on my '09. Former company truck, I've only put about 5K of those miles on myself!
